The Better Future Collective
This year we are delighted to be supporting The Better Future Collective that was set up by Daisy the founder of Kapara London, who has been living and working in Jaipur for a decade. It is all about bringing together brands in the UK that manufacture in India and want to make a positive social impact.
The charity is focused on supporting girls in Lynlyawas, a struggling area in Jaipur, by helping them go to school. Daisy has teamed up with Sneh Girls Shikshan Sansthan, a school dedicated to providing free, quality education in a safe environment. Many girls in impoverished families miss out on school because they're needed at home or because education isn't prioritised for them. The Better Collective wants to change that narrative and give these girls the chance they deserve.
Daisy firmly believes that by collaborating as a collective, the brands can achieve far more than we could all do individually. And they have dedicated individuals on the ground in Jaipur who can provide regular updates on the school's activities and progress.
We will be sponsoring 3 girls at the school each year and we would like to introduce you to them below. We are excited to receive regular updates on their progress and I can't wait to visit the school and meet the girls in the Spring of 2025 when I will be back in Jaipur and learn more about the project.

Siddhi is 9 years old and studies in class 2. She is simple and straightforward by nature. Her family includes her parents and two brothers, one older and one younger. Her father earns a living by setting up his cart in various markets, while her mother works as a cook in homes. Their financial situation is dire, and they rely on selling children's items and plastic goods in markets to cover household expenses. Her grandparents also live with them and are ill, adding to the financial burden as Siddhi's father must also cover their medical expenses. Although she was once very weak in her studies, Siddhi has worked hard and improved significantly. She dreams of becoming a beautician and opening her own Beauty Parlor in the future.
